So What Is A Chakra?
Chakras are energy centers that run up our bodies from our groin to the top of our head. We have seven of them and each vibrates to the tune of a different frequency. Imagine a symphony with seven different types of instruments. When the symphony is in synch, each instrument in harmony, yet adding it's own voice to form a beautiful sonata, everything is perfect. But, when just one of those instruments skips a note, or falls out of tune, it becomes a horrible mess. Soon, all you can hear is that one screeching instrument, and not the other six who are still playing beautifully. What should have been a beautiful concert is ruined because one guy forgot to tune his instrument, or didn't practice enough.
These instruments are our chakras.
The term "Chakra" means "wheel" in Sanskrit. Each corresponds to a different color, and vibrates to that frequency. Each Chakra emits a different kind of energy helps keep your spirit in tune. Chakras have nothing to do with your "aura". People sometimes get this confused. Your aura is the energy emitting from your physical body. That is why when you are sick, or very angry or depressed, your aura will have weak spots of energy that is telling to an aura-reader. Chakras are more like the gears of our spiritual self. We need to keep them well-oiled and constantly moving.
